Karim Peppers, DDS

Dr. Karim Peppers, a passionate and knowledgeable general dentist, was born in Athens, Ohio, and spent his formative years growing up throughout the Midwest. Raised by college professor parents, he finally settled in Georgia after moving around. Driven by a desire to pursue a career in dentistry, Dr. Peppers completed his undergraduate studies at Clark-Atlanta University before attending The Ohio State University.

After graduating, Dr. Peppers chose to enhance his skills and expertise by undertaking an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program at Litheran Medical Center in New York, NY. Following successful completion of the program, he obtained a PGY1 for dental licensure in the State of New York. For approximately four years, he worked in Upstate NY before taking the ADEX exam to obtain a dental license in the State of North Carolina. In April of 2018, Dr. Peppers accepted a position in Wilmington, where he has been primarily practicing dentistry ever since.

Dr. Peppers' professional background is diverse, having worked in various settings within the dental field. He has experience as an associate dentist for corporate practices, served as the sole provider in a two-provider town for a community hospital (part of a larger hospital entity), worked as a private contractor for both privately owned and group practices, served as a Dental Officer for a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) community center, and recently completed a locum stint. Additionally, he has worked as an independent contractor with the US Army, assisting North Carolina troops in getting cleared for deployment overseas.

While Dr. Peppers consistently aspires to expand his skill set in the near future. He is currently taking courses to further his expertise in implants and has a strong desire to achieve Invisalign certification. His passion lies in taking care of people and embodying a sense of hope and goodwill towards others. His vibrant energy allows him to excel in various aspects of his profession.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Peppers is an eclectic foodie with an adventurous palate. He enjoys exploring diverse cuisines and is willing to try any dish in the hopes of discovering something delicious. With his dedication to providing quality dental care and his commitment to his patients' well-being, Dr. Karim Peppers is a valuable asset to the dental community.
