Catherine Ramundo, DDS, MS

Periodontist

DR. CATHERINE RAMUNDO was raised in the mountains of Pennsylvania and spent her childhood living in several communities, including Charlotte, North Carolina, and Dallas, Texas, before settling in Upperville, Virginia. These experiences shaped her adaptable, patient‑centered approach to care. She earned her undergraduate degree from Hollins University and completed dental school and residency training at Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Ramundo’s interest in dentistry grew from an early passion for veterinary medicine, where she became fascinated by dental care and periodontal disease. Shadowing general dentists and periodontists helped solidify her path, as she saw firsthand the meaningful impact periodontal treatment can have on both oral health and patient confidence.

After completing an advanced residency in periodontics, Dr. Ramundo relocated to Apex, North Carolina. She offers comprehensive periodontal care, including osseous therapy and LANAP, with a special focus on soft tissue grafting around teeth and implants. She embraces the philosophy, “bone sets the tone, but tissue is the issue,” and is currently in the process of becoming sedation certified in North Carolina.

Outside the office, Dr. Ramundo enjoys time with her husband, Blake, and their pets—dogs Goose and Saint, and their cat, Judy. She loves cooking and baking, traveling to the North Carolina mountains, and is known for her calm, educational approach that helps patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their care.
