Deborah Bassham, DDS

Dr. Deborah Bassham received her bachelor’s degree in education with a specialization in learning disabilities from Concord University. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from West Virginia University in 1996. She graduated at the top of her dental class receiving the prestigious Pierre Fauchard Award and induction into the honorary Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Society. Dr. Bassham attended orthodontic residency at West Virginia University, receiving a Master of Science Degree. She worked in private practice in Abingdon and Bristol, Virginia for 20 years before joining Riccobene in 2020.

Dr. Bassham loves being outdoors and enjoying activities such as hiking, biking, gardening, camping and spending time at the beach. In addition to her other academic achievements, she also earned a degree in photography from the New York Institute of Photography and has recently completed her 200-hour yoga instructor training. Dr. Bassham believes that yoga provides so many benefits for mental and physical health by allowing time for the mind to relax and the body to strengthen and stretch.

Dr. Bassham lives with her husband of 40 years and their two dogs Huxley and Willow. She savors the time she gets to spend with family and has adult three sons pursuing careers in dentistry, chiropractic, and business.
