Dr. Timothy Speer, DMD, hails from Woodstock, Georgia. At the young age of five years old, he knew he wanted to become a dentist. Since then, he has been following his passion for providing the best possible dental care to patients, and it has brought him to North Carolina and Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry.
Dr. Speer obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus, GA. After obtaining his undergraduate degree, he worked in a dental laboratory in Georgia for a year. While working, he was accepted to Lake Erie College School of Dental Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania, as a member of its inaugural class. After earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from LECOM, Dr. Speer attended postgraduate Advanced Education in General Dentistry at East Carolina University, where he obtained valuable experience with root canals, implant placement, oral surgery, and advanced restorative techniques.
Dr. Speer enjoys giving back to the community by participating in Missions of Mercy, public health events throughout eastern North Carolina, and Give Kids a Smile. In dental school, he served as the Vice President of Student Government for two years and was a part of numerous dental organizations including Student Ambassador, American Student Dental Association, and the Hispanic Dental Society. Currently, he is a member of the North Carolina Dental Society, American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry, and is working towards obtaining a fellowship within the Academy of General Dentistry.
In his free time, Dr. Speer enjoys being outdoors, especially fishing and being out on the water. He loves to travel and taking time to spend with his family, girlfriend, and friends. When he has time, he helps his brother, a professional boat and car racer, by serving as a member of his crew.
