Dr. Greenwood was born in Cookeville, Tennessee. While studying for his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at Tennessee Tech, he realized that he wanted to pursue a career in dentistry, rather than another medical field. He then attended the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Dr. Greenwood served as a dentist in the Air Force for 17 years before retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. He has been in private practice for 24 years. Both in the Air Force and as a private dentist, Dr. Greenwood has taken advanced dental training and continuing education courses, so he can stay up-to-date with dental technology and clinical techniques. As a dentist, he is passionate about helping create beautiful new smiles for his patients using both fixed and removable prosthodontics.
Dr. Greenwood and his wife, Linda, have three children and 11 grandchildren. He keeps active with golf, tennis, and music. He enjoys serving the community, as a member of the Wayne County Board of Health and as a long-time member of the Kiwanis Club.
