A native of western Pennsylvania, Dr. Kristen Goble attended the University of Michigan, where she completed a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with honors in Mechanical Engineering. After completing her undergraduate degree, she continued at the University of Michigan and obtained a Master of Science in Engineering in Biomedical Engineering. After completing her studies, Dr. Goble worked as a tissue engineer investigating the mechanical properties of engineered and native skeletal tissues before feeling called to pursue a career in patient care.
Initially believing she would become a medical doctor, it was while she was completing the Postbaccalaureate Premedical Program at Columbia University in the City of New York that she was inspired by her orthodontist to pursue dentistry. Dr. Goble then chose to move closer to home, where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Pittsburgh. After dental school, Dr. Goble moved to southern California to complete a General Practice Residency at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center in Downey, California, where she received specialized training in molar endodontics, oral surgery, prosthodontics, implant restorations, and CAD/CAM dentistry. Dr. Goble is proud to have served as a resident at Rancho, a Los Angeles County hospital and one of the largest rehabilitation centers in the nation. During her residency, Dr. Goble treated exclusively medically complex patients with special needs including those with rare genetic conditions, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, autism spectrum disorder, and chronic medical disabilities.
Dr. Goble is passionate about continuing the mission of her residency in private practice and will continue to treat those patients that have difficulty being treated by other general dentists. An avid yoga practitioner since 2003, Dr. Goble decided to share her love of yoga with others by completing her 200 hour yoga teacher training through YogaFit in 2017. Additionally, Dr. Goble completed YogaFit’s 140 hour Trauma Sensitive Yoga Teacher Training for PTSD, childhood and adult trauma, depression, mood disorders, and addiction. Dr. Goble has found that her yoga teacher training changed her approach to her patients and recognizes the mind body connection in healing; thus, she strives to provide her patients with pragmatic, personalized treatment plans.
Outside of the dental office, Dr. Goble loves the opera, museums, podcasts, hiking, traveling, and her family. Although she loves all animals, she spends most of her time with her rescue cat, a tortie who answers to Luna.
