
Meet The Doctors
Dr. Michael Riccobene
Dr. Michael Riccobene was born in Brooklyn, New York to Italian Immigrants. At a young age his family moved to New Jersey where he spent his childhood.
In 1996, he graduated from New York University’s College of Dentistry. While at NYU, he was student body President and graduated in the top five percent of his class. Shortly after graduation he moved to North Carolina where he completed two years of residency at UNC –Chapel Hill in Oral Medicine. During his residency he practiced advanced anesthesia, endodontics, oral and implant surgery. In his second year he served as Chief Resident.
In 2000, he opened his first practice in Selma, NC and is constantly expanding his breadth of offices. Dr. Riccobene strongly believes in extraordinary customer service, quality care and advanced technology. His entire business centers around these key elements.
Dr. Riccobene is Lumineer Certified and is an Invisalign Premiere Provider. He has completed extensive training in oral and IV sedation as well as Full Mouth Rehabilitation.
He currently serves as the Director of Dental Services for Head Start of Johnston County and has served on the Partnership for Children’s Board of Directors.
When Dr. Riccobene is not practicing Dentistry he enjoys skydiving, tae kwon do and spending time with his four children.
Dr. Anna Abernethy
In 2001, Dr. Abernethy graduated from Meridith College Magna Cum Laude with a BS in biology and a minor in chemical physics. While at Meredith, she had the opportunity to attend the university of Sydney, Australia during a study abroad program. She graduated from UNC Dental School in 2005. While at UNC, she was the co-leader of Give Kids a Smile Day, coordinator of the UNC Head Start Program, and the team captain of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
She is affiliated with the American Dental Association, American Association of Women Dentists, American Association of General Dentists, and the Wake County Dental Society.
Dr. Abernethy is certified in both Invisalign and Lumineers, and will complete her certification for Botox administration in early 2008. She has lived in Raleigh for the past 10 years, and she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Dr. Brian McNeely
Dr. McNeely was born in China Grove, NC, a small town he is proud to call home. He graduated East Carolina University ,magna cum laude, with a degree in chemistry. He then completed his dental training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After obtaining his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree, he moved to Fayetteville, NC where he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Dr. McNeely’s vision is to provide quality, compassionate dental care for the entire family. His philosophy is built on giving his patients the very best treatment in a caring and gentle environment.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and Tri-County Dental Society of Wilmington. Away from the office, Dr. McNeely enjoys golf, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Tracy Goldstein
Dr. Tracy Goldstein is a native of New York who relocated to North Carolina in April of 2005. He has been practicing dentistry for 17 years, since graduating from the prestigious Georgetown University School of Dentistry in 1990. Prior to that, he received a Bachelor of Science degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1985. Dr. Goldstein is an active member of the Wake County Dental Association.
His clinical skills and sense of humor — accompanied by his dedication to a high standard of patient care — has earned Dr. Goldstein a loyal patient following. Dr. Goldstein resides in Raleigh with his wife Joan and their two children, Jennifer and Matthew.
Dr. Anna Sipe
Dr. Sipe was born and raised in Lewisville, NC and spent a time on Lake Norman during the summers. She graduated summa cum laude with degrees in Spanish and Biology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She attended Dental School at UNC and graduated with Honors. While in school she traveled with classmates to Mexico to provide dental care to orphans and coordinated volunteers for a free community dental clinic. After graduating, Dr. Sipe moved to Virginia to complete a one year General Practice Residency at the VA in Hampton where she gained experience working with medically compromised patients. She is happy to be back in her home state again.
Dr. Sipe is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Association of Women Dentists. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling.
Dr. John Tomasheski
Dr. John Tomasheski was born and raised in Somerdale, New Jersey, located approximately 20 minutes from Philadelphia. He graduated Virginia Wesleyan College, summa cum laude, with a B.A. degree in Biology. He then attended Dental School at the University of North Carolina and graduated with honors.
After graduation, Dr. Tomasheski completed a one year General Practice Residency at UNC Hospitals working primarily on medically compromised patients. He then moved to Philadelphia and worked at a private practice dental office. Missing the southern lifestyle, Dr. Tomasheski moved back to North Carolina and now resides in Cary.
Dr. Tomasheski enjoys working with all aspects of general dentistry. His philosophy of care centers around patient education and quality of care. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Tomasheski enjoys tennis, watching sports, traveling, and spending time with his wife Kim, family, and friends.
Dr. Sadaf Alam
Dr. Sadaf Alam is a graduate of the UNC School of Dentistry and has been in the field of dentistry for over 10 years.
Dr. Alam is a current member of the American Dental Society and the North Carolina Dental Society. She is certified to place lumineers and also practices sedation dentistry among all other aspects of general dental procedures. Dr. Alam keeps abreast of the latest in dentistry by attending numerous continuing education courses annually.
Dr. Alam strongly believes in treating all her patients as she would want to be treated herself, in a gentle and comfortable environment.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Alam enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exotic vacations and reading.
Dr. Irina Jorgenson

Dr. Jorgenson has called North Carolina her home since 1996. She graduated summa cum laude from Methodist College with Bachelor’s of Science in Microbiology, Cell Biology and Chemistry. She is a graduate of UNC school of Dentistry and completed a 1-year General Practice residency at UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill, where she worked with medically compromised patients.
Dr. Jorgenson is a member of American Dental Association, NC Dental Society and Academy of General Dentistry. She takes numerous courses on implantology, surgery, sedation and patient care to provide the best possible care for her patients.
During rare free time, Dr. Jorgenson enjoys playing piano, reading, traveling and gardening.
Dr. Ed Schrader

Dr. Schrader graduated from Wake Forest University in 2005 with a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry. While attending undergraduate school, he achieved a Research Fellowship Grant with the Welker Group and was published in the journal of Bioorganic and Medicinal Chemistry for anticancer research. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Alabama in 2009, where he served as a group leader in Give Kid’s a Smile and interned in the Oral Diagnosis/Urgent Care Clinic.
Following completion of his dental training in Alabama, Dr. Schrader completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. During this residency, Dr. Schrader enhanced his skills in implant placement and restoration, cosmetic dentistry, and gained certification in Invisalign. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Wake County Dental Society. Dr. Schrader returned to North Carolina when he moved to Raleigh in 2010 with his wife, Brooke, who practices pediatric dentistry. Away from the office, they enjoy traveling, cooking, and running with their yellow lab, Josie.
Dr. Rajan Prajapati

Dr. Raj was born and raised in High Point, North Carolina. He graduated the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. Afterwards, he spent two years at UNC Dental Research Center focusing on neurosensory research while working with orthognathic surgery patients. He then attended UNC Dental School and graduated in 2008 with honors.
Dr. Raj prides himself on treating patients in the most gentle and comfortable environment. He strives to provide the finest, up to date, dental care available. Through a combination of education, prevention, awareness, and technologically driven methods he works with the patient to achieve the best dental health in a caring atmosphere. Dr. Raj stays current with continuing education and the latest technological advancements.
Dr. Raj is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and North Carolina Dental Society. Outside of work, he enjoys playing golf, traveling, listening to music, and watching UNC sports. Everyone that knows Dr. Raj would say he bleeds Carolina blue!
Dr. Haysam Tawfik
Dr. Tawfik graduated from Truman State University in 2003 with a bachelors of Science in Biology. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Florida College of dentistry in 2007. Following dental school, he was commissioned as a Captain in the United States Air Force, where in his three years of service he completed a one-year General Practice Residency at Keesler AFB with an emphasis on advanced surgical technique, IV sedation, bone grafting, molar endodontics, and management of the medically compromised patient. In his tour at Moody AFB, Dr. Tawfik also served as the chief infection control officer for the medical group in addition to providing dental care to all active duty personnel.
Dr. Tawfik relocated to Raleigh NC following completion of his service in 2010. He is a member of the American Dental Association and Wake County Dental Society. Away from the office, he enjoys traveling, cooking, gator football, and the ocean. Dr. Tawfik is also an avid car enthusiast and amateur racecar driver.
Dr. Noah Rosen
Dr. Rosen is originally from Akron, Ohio. After high school he moved to Raleigh where he graduated from North Carolina State University with honors. He then moved to Florida where he attended the University of Florida, College of Dentistry. Upon graduation from dental school Dr. Rosen received several awards including; Dental Implant Student Award, Whip Mix Award for Excellence in Prosthodontics, American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry Award and Florida Academy of General Dentistry Award. After working in Florida Dr. Rosen moved back to North Carolina to be close to family and his Alma Mater, NC STATE!!! GO PACK!!!
Dr. Rosen’s mission is to provide the best possible dental care by giving his patients what they need and want in a relaxed and friendly environment. Seeking out advanced techniques and technology is a primary goal of Dr. Rosen’s to better serve his patients.

Dr. Fred Crisp
Dr. Fred Crisp, a North Carolina native, received his undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He was a published author while working in the Dental Research Center as an undergraduate. Dr. Crisp earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the UNC
Dental School in 1983. He has been practicing dentistry in Wake and Granville counties ever since.
Dr. Crisp strives to provide quality dental care in the most compassionate, efficient and pain free way as possible.
Dr. Crisp is a member of the American Dental Association, NC Dental Society and the Christian Medical Dental Association. His outside interests include, church, family and friends, exercise, and the game of golf. Dr. Crisp is married to his lovely wife Martha, also known as “Mitch”, and has a stepdaughter, Casey. Casey is attending Appalachian University. Dr. Crisp has called Raleigh home since 1969 and is an avid Tarheel fan.
Dr. Eric Nicholson
Dr. Eric Nicholson was born in Missouri and has lived in North Carolina since 1998.
He graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. After working several enjoyable years as an electrical engineer, he decided to pursue a career in dentistry.
Dr. Nicholson graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. While there, he helped establish the Cleft Palate Gallop 5K, an annual race that benefits children of the UNC Craniofacial Center. He continues to be involved with the charity. In his free time, he enjoys playing music, playing tennis, and traveling.
Dr. Nicholson strives to treat his patients with the same quality and compassion as he would wish to be treated. He is a member of the American Dental Association and North Carolina Dental Society. In his free time, he enjoys playing music, playing tennis, and not being told to lose weight by his significant other.
